(Looking forward to the New Year)
Some Facts (non-alternative) on the Filmmaking Front:
We’re going to the Durango Independent Film Festival with June Falling Down in March! Yay!! Get me to the mountains NOW.
I upgraded some of JuneFallingDown.com. And you know what, there’s a reason why people get paid for this website design stuff – I’m terrible at it and it takes forever! And don’t look at it on your phone, it will look horrible! To be continued!
I have coffee mugs and posters and magnets for June and all of them are in Door County with my mom. She’s supposed to give some of them to you/mail some to you/some of you will not get them until I see you this summer/she’s also supposed to mail a box of some of them to me so I can mail them. Hi Mom!
Lately I’m cleaning out my apartment of everything I don’t need or want anymore and feeling very holier than thou about it thank you very much. Except I’m about to get all these mugs.
Something’s going to happen in my next script that’s also going to happen in real life. Art-wise, not plot-wise in my life. This makes sense to me and it’s okay if it doesn’t make sense to you yet. When I realized I was going to do this I laughed for probably ten minutes straight. It’s really not that funny. I just can’t wait.
I’m still writing the next script and I forgot how hard writing a script is. It’s so, so hard. Doesn’t mean I won’t/can’t do it. And I’m currently forcing a dear friend to be my accountability partner wherein I email her every Sunday night and in my typically rambling style tell her what I got done. I think it will help!
I’m excited about this: I’ve got some ideas for a couple short (3 min or so) films I’d like to make really cheaply this spring/summer and just release online and skip festivals. Release them online leading up to our June release online, yes? Am I too ambitious? Always. This will not all get done. But maybe a little will. I will try.
This quote is very important for the next script: “I take pleasure in my transformations. I look quiet and consistent, but few people know many women there are in me.” // Anais Nin
