Happy weekend! Look at June and Harley in their youth. What a coupla cuties. I am drinking coffee out of my Wisconsin mug as I write this. Coffee tastes better when you like the mug! Oh no, but I just took a bite out of an apple with no snap. Who wants that?
Anyway, we’re headed to a film screening this evening and we have SOMUCH going on before we head out next weekend for our Door County screening + the Driftless Film Fest! Guys. We’re gonna get out our plaid, our jeans, our jackets, our scarves. LA does not allow us (let’s face it – me) to be our fashionable fall selves. So, let’s just say this is good. Also I’m gettin me an apple cider donut like stat. (and OMG my merm just got some apple cider for the Door County screening. Um. Yes.)
Here’s some stuff we liked this week:
I find this SNL kid pretty charming, despite not initially wanting to, and I enjoyed his WTF interview very much. He won me over.
This guy photoshopped himself into his childhood photos. I found this strangely moving.
Oh boy. “Our Minds Can be Hijacked.” The creators of the addictive tools on social media are now disconnecting from social media themselves. (forehead smack)
Appreciated this piece by Scott Rosenberg on Harvey Weinstein.
My sister is a master at finding funny things online.
Also Amy Sedaris’ Instagram is delightful.
Finally: should Chris and I dress up for Halloween? Years back when Chris had a beard I really wanted him to be Colonel Mustard and I’d be Miss Scarlett but Chris was not into it. So I’m taking suggestions for costumes…
